The Dryden Local Citizens Advisory Committee (LCAC) is a standing committee established by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) in accordance with the requirements of the Crown Forest Sustainability Act (CFSA) and the Forest Management Planning Manual (FMPM) The Dryden LCAC reports to the MNR District Manager.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Dryden LCAC is to provide advice to the MNR District Manager. We will assist the Plan Author and Planning Team in the preparation and implementation of forest management plans on the Dryden and Wabigoon Forests. The LCAC is also encouraged to provide advice regarding resource management beyond just forest management. A subject is considered to fall within the LCAC mandate if the resource management is within MNR jurisdiction, the affected parties attempted to resolve the matter, LCAC involvement may assist in resolving the matter, and the members of the LCAC have reached a consensus to proceed.
